Bass and Gill Club limits memberships to 375 members. Members are allowed to participate in Fishing, Camping and Hunting at Bass and Gill. There are 8 major lakes on the club property. The lakes on the north side (everything north of IL Rt. 126) are open from mid December to mid October. They are closed during the IL duck season. The Main Lake (south of IL Rt. 126) is open year round. Different lakes are stocked with different fish each year depending on current conditions of the lake. However, Main lake receives Trout every fall. The lakes contain various species of fish including Bluegill, Perch, Bass, Trout, Crappie, Walleye, Northern Pike, Catfish, and Carp.
Members wishing to duck and goose hunt may do so by first working one of the designated “Duck Hunter Work Days”. Blinds are assigned on a weekly rotation, but unclaimed blinds may be hunted on a daily basis. Duck and goose hunting is allowed during the designated IL duck and goose seasons only.
